and Configurable On-line Help Capability

Auto-trol Technology Corporation today announced release of version 5.3 of its CENTRA 2000(R) collaborative data and product information management system.

Release 5.3 further enhances the enterprise collaboration functionality of CENTRA 2000 and incorporates many new features with customer-requested enhancements. With this latest release, CENTRA 2000 manages workflow tasks on the web through standard web browsers. The release also features a streamlined user interface for editing complex data configurations associated with Bill of Materials (BOM) and document/product structures. In addition, customer configurable on-line help has been added for the CENTRA 2000 PC client. New workflow task support has been added to CENTRAWeb, including configurable and customizable create new item; edit item; distribute for edit; and decision tasks. These new out-of-the-box tasks, combined with the CENTRAWeb customizable features and previously released approval process tasks, provide the flexibility to model customer business processes for secure Internet access. The Configuration Editor provides a friendly interface to edit and manage multiple configurations of Bill of Materials, product structures, and document structures. This new spreadsheet-style user interface streamlines configuration structure editing. On-line help for the 5.3 PC client has been converted to configurable on-line help. Configurable help on the PC client, combined with the configurable help on CENTRAWeb, provide a tailorable environment for customers to create end user on-line instructions specific to their CENTRA 2000 implementation. Release 5.3 also supports Windows 2000 for client and server usage.
