ANDOVER, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 31, 2001

CRKInteractive (CRKI), a company that designs, develops and delivers training solutions to maximize the potential of employees and management, has selected Docent, Inc. (Nasdaq:DCNT), the premier provider of eLearning software for Global 2000 companies, as its learning management server (LMS) platform.

The platform will be used to run CRKI asynchronous self-paced courses given over the Internet.

"We decided on Docent(TM) after considering several options," said CRKI's vice president Peter Lynch. "The primary reason for our decision was the ability of the Docent of technology, platform to be customized by us internally. A lot of platforms do not allow for any modifications to the system - the functionality is set; and if you do need to make changes you must return to the manufacturer, which is time-consuming and costly."

"Using the Docent product," Lynch continued, "we will be able to deliver solutions to our clients that are customized to meet their unique needs. In addition, Docent is one of the few major LMS systems that offer AICC compatibility. The AICC standardization movement is well underway in the eLearning industry, and at CRKI we design our courseware to be AICC-compliant. The advantage of this compatibility is that it will allow us not only to host our courseware on Docent, but also to take our courseware and move it to the internal AICC-compliant learning management system of a large client without any modification."

"We are proud to be a front-runner in both eLearning and traditional classroom training. We have been delivering our instructor-led Customer- Focused Training Series and Workforce Optimization Series over the Internet for years. Partnering with Docent for our Web-based offerings further solidifies our position and provides great advantage to our clients," said Len Bizzarro, CRKI's vice president of marketing.

Kathleen Gogan, vice president of marketing for Docent, commented: "We are pleased that our learning management technology was chosen by an award-winning content provider such as CRKInteractive. We look forward to a long and mutually beneficial alliance."

Both Docent and CRKInteractive will be exhibiting in booth 2657 at the annual ASTD 2001 Expo June 4-6 at the Orlando County Convention Center, Orlando FL.
