UAC's Unique Product Offering Introduces Control, Choice

and Cost Savings to Clients

United Asset Coverage, Inc. (UAC), a leading provider of integrated telecommunications and data networking maintenance services, is thriving despite a slowing economy. UAC today announced that in Q1 2001 it expanded its client base and added new service with existing clients, increasing the pieces of equipment it covers by more than 40 percent since last year.

New clients include Coca-Cola Enterprises Inc., American College of Physicians, Columbia Coliseum Medical Center and Metromedia Restaurant Group.

"The projected cost-savings UAC offered, along with maintenance provider consistency, presented a positive direction of change to our maintenance program," said Randy Graves, director, restaurant support center technology and network operations, Metromedia Restaurant Group.

UAC also expanded business with existing clients in Q1 2001. Clients who added service include SUPERVALU Inc., Windsor Capital Group, Express Scripts and International Paper.

"UAC allows Windsor Capital Group hotels to streamline maintenance service across 22 sites, resulting in increased convenience and control over the process, " said Sam Sansone, vice president operations support, Windsor Capital Group. "I continue to add to my existing contract because UAC executes my service requests from start to finish."

Windsor Capital Group owns and operates more than 23 hotels in nine states including 15 Embassy Suites locations.

UAC is thriving because it offers clients a new way to contract for telecommunications and data networking maintenance. By combining maintenance agreements across all manufacturers, models of equipment and locations, UAC offers a solution that results in control, choice and cost savings for its clients.

"UAC typically offers cost savings of 15 percent on telecommunications and data networking equipment service agreements and, during a down economy, that is an attractive alternative to expensive vendor maintenance agreements," said Patrick J. Martucci, chairman and CEO of UAC. "We free our clients from the constraints of traditional service contracts and empower them with control and choice in their technology service programs."

UAC places the power of maintenance decisions back into the hands of the client and away from the vendor. Clients can continue to use their current vendor for telecommunications and data networking maintenance service or can select from a network of more than 33,000 recognized service providers. In addition, UAC provides control over the billing process through one, fixed-price invoice per quarter. This eliminates multiple monthly invoices, often saving clients several hours of time and hundreds of dollars on administrative costs.

UAC offers additional client services that help cut costs and reduce several points of contact in the maintenance cycle. Its services include a full array of remote monitoring services as well as an equipment division, which provides competitively priced unused and refurbished telecommunications equipment. By positioning itself as a one-stop-shop for its clients' telecommunications and data networking maintenance needs, UAC is improving efficiency for its customers.
