PS-6250, PS-6180 and PS-5100 LCD Projectors to Provide Versatile

Multimedia Capabilities for Educational and Corporate Presentation

CTX International Inc., a leading manufacturer of high performance display monitors and multimedia projectors, will debut three LCD projectors -- the PS-6250 UltraVision, the PS-6180 UltraVision, and the PS-5100 -- at the 2001 Comdex show in Las Vegas, Nov. 12-16, booth L-721.

The PS-6250 UltraVision LCD projector is designed to meet the multimedia presentation demands for a range of educational, corporate and enterprise environments. Housed in a sleek, modern design, the PS-6250 possesses a brightness of 2,500 ANSI lumens that allows the projector to display effective, clear and bright presentations even in fully lit meeting and conference rooms.

Unique Micro Turning Technology (MTT) creates a high level of image sharpness and Hi-Fi LCD Drive Technology (HLDT) ensures picture stability. A superior 450:1 contrast ratio maintains clean and crisp images while the digital keystone correction allows for perfectly squared images. Compatibility with s-video and composite video formats the PS-6250 is a true multimedia presentation tool (MSRP $5,999).

The PS-6180 UltraVision LCD projector is designed for the mobile presenter. Its 8.2lb weight makes it light enough to carry while its 1,800 ANSI lumens provides the right amount of brightness for conference rooms, board rooms and lecture halls. The 400:1 contrast ratio provides a clear image with true XGA resolution (1024x768). The PS-6180 is also capable of supporting SXGA resolution (1280x1024).

It contains MTT, for image sharpness and HLDT, for picture stability as well as digital keystone correction, picture in picture, wireless remote mouse with laser pointer and built-in speakers (MSRP $3,999).

The PS-5100 LCD projector also caters to the mobile presenter. The 8lb projector is powered by 1,000 ANSI lumens of light and 200:1 contrast ratio, bright enough for rooms with ambient light. With a touch of a button, the exclusive color image manager can best match the presentation for high-quality graphics, crisp spreadsheets, rich color charts and detailed pictures.

The PS-5100 comes equipped with a 4,000-hour lamp life, twice as long as most projectors. Additional features include built-in speakers and amplifier, on screen display menu and wireless remote control (MSRP $1,999).

"I am pleased to announce the debut of the newest CTX LCD projectors at the 2001 Comdex Expo," said CTX Chief Executive Larry Wei. "LCD projectors have become an integral tool for boardrooms, classrooms and corporate environments. CTX International has designed the new projectors to meet the demands of these sectors for a versatile multimedia presentation device.

"With a superior brightness capability, the projectors display detailed images within varying stages of lighting. Thus, the days of darkened conference rooms and classrooms have ended."

With SCSI computer inputs, multiple A/V ports, mouse control ports, microphone port and built-in stereo speakers, the projectors easily connect to a variety of video sources including VCRs and VTRs, Camcorders, DVD players and a variety of digital video sources. Other features include power zoom and focus, area enlarging, image stabilizing and picture freezing capability.

All of the projectors are HDTV compatible and support 4:3 and 16:9 aspect ratios. The projectors are able to display images ranging in size from 16 inches to 300 inches (diagonal) from as close as 3 feet to as far away as 47 feet. This makes the PS-6250, PS-6180 and the PS-5100 ideal for both small meeting and classrooms to larger-sized auditoriums.
