NIRI Boston Chapter Names 2001-2002 Officers and Directors

The Boston Chapter of the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI) announced today that it has elected six officers and seven directors for the 2001-2002 term. NIRI is a professional association of corporate officers and investor relations consultants responsible for communication among corporate management, the financial community and the investing public. The Boston Chapter's six officers for the 2001-2002 term are:
President - Maureen T. Wolff-Reid
Maureen T. Wolff-Reid is president of the Boston investor relations firm Sharon Merrill Associates, Inc. (www.InvestorRelations.com). Wolff-Reid oversees strategic planning and communications programs for all client companies and also monitors the execution of the plans. Prior to joining Sharon Merrill Associates in 1985, Wolff-Reid held positions in the investor relations and corporate communications departments at Lotus Development Corporation. The quality of her investor relations work has received recognition in the form of numerous awards, and she is frequently a featured panelist and speaker at local and national groups about investor relations and corporate communications. A board member of the NIRI Boston Chapter since 1998, Wolff-Reid received her bachelor's degree in communications from Montclair State University.
Program Co-Chair - John Ingoldsby
John Ingoldsby is president of Medfield, Massachusetts-based Ingoldsby Investor Relations, Inc. (www.ingoldsbyir.com). Before starting his own IR firm, Ingoldsby served as director of corporate communications and investor relations for laser systems provider Palomar Medical Technologies, Inc. Ingoldsby also has worked as an associate at Ronald Trahan Associates, Inc. in Sherborn, Mass. and as an account supervisor at Sharon Merrill Associates, Inc. in Boston. Ingoldsby also was vice president of Managed Health Care Systems, Inc. in Hingham and served as a reporter and editor at various newspapers in the U.S. He earned a BA in Journalism and English from St. Francis College of Pennsylvania.
Program Co-Chair - Janice C. Warren
Since 1997, Janice Warren has served as corporate communications manager for FiberMark (NYSE: FMK, www.fibermark.com) of Brattleboro, Vermont, a specialty fiber-based materials producer with 2000 revenue of $355 million. Her responsibilities include investor relations, corporate/marketing communications and public relations. She joined the firm in 1986, serving in sales, marketing and product development management. Before joining FiberMark, Warren held various marketing and public relations positions and was a marketing instructor. She received her BA in government and legal studies from Bowdoin College and an MBA from the Northwestern University Graduate School of Management.
Membership Chair - Anne Rivers
Anne Rivers is investor relations manager at Boxborough, Massachusetts-based Cytyc Corporation (Nasdaq: CYTC, www.cytyc.com). Cytyc designs, develops, manufactures and markets the ThinPrep(R) System for medical diagnostic applications. She joined Cytyc in 1993 as assistant to the president and served in that capacity until the company went public in 1996, when she was named investor relations manager. Prior to Cytyc, Anne spent seven years in hospital public relations and a number of years in executive support roles. She attended Katharine Gibbs School and has taken continuing education courses in business and investor relations.
Communications Chair - William Boni
Bill Boni is vice president of corporate communications of Interneuron Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: IPIC, www.interneuron.com). Boni's responsibilities as the primary corporate spokesperson encompass investor relations and corporate communications. Prior to joining Interneuron in 1992, Boni worked on the agency side with Hill and Knowlton where he helped establish the firm's healthcare practice. Previously, he was with Feinstein Partners Inc. where he managed corporate communications for the company's biotechnology and healthcare clients. Earlier in Boni's career, he worked in advertising, public relations, and public affairs in the Philadelphia area. Boni has been a featured panelist and participant at NIRI meetings. A graduate of Tufts University, he also holds a master's degree from Columbia University.
Secretary-Treasurer - Timothy D. Green
Tim Green is a vice president at Sharon Merrill Associates. Before joining SMA, Green worked as director of investor relations at Providence Energy Corporation, a diversified energy services company headquartered in Providence, Rhode Island. Prior to joining ProvEnergy, Green was Senior Vice President of Nicolazzo & Associates, a strategic communications firm in Boston, where he handled the firm's IR assignments. He also has more than 20 years of investment experience and has held buy-side and sell-side positions as an analyst, portfolio manager, and private placement specialist. Green received his BA in English and his MBA from Rutgers University.
