PORTLAND, Ore.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 27, 2001
wine.com by eVineyard(R) (www.wine.com) has introduced two new components to its extensive Internet gift center - custom etched, hand-painted bottles of wine and personalized wine labels. Capitalizing on economies of scale from batch order processing, wine.com by eVineyard is the first national retailer to offer affordable customized bottle etching along with personalized labels on a bottle by bottle basis.
Cabernet Sauvignon and sparkling wine from California's Monterey Cristal may be ordered with a selection of messages for the holidays. Etched messages include "Season's Greetings," "Happy Holidays," "Merry Christmas," "Happy Hanukkah," "Happy New Year," and more. When ordering these special bottles, customers may also create personalized messages for gift cards to accompany their purchases. Since there is no minimum purchase requirement, consumers may order any number of holiday bottles. The etched bottles are available for under $50.
wine.com by eVineyard has also partnered with Windsor Vineyards to offer award-winning Windsor wines with personalized or custom printed labels. Customers have the opportunity to place their name or special message of up to three lines of text on every bottle of wine they order. This unique label turns a bottle of wine into a treasured holiday gift or memento of a landmark birthday, anniversary, or other special occasion. And best of all, it's a free service with every order. Gifts with personalized labels begin at $26 for a two bottle set.
"A bottle of wine is one of America's favorite gifts," said Brett E. Lauter, vice president and chief marketing officer for eVineyard, Inc. "Now our customers can make their gift of wine very special by adding a creative touch. It's a great way to commemorate the holidays with friends and family."
