The McGraw-Hill Companies to Present "Outlook 2002" at Investor Conferences; Live Presentation Will be Available on the Internet

Harold McGraw III, chairman, president and CEO of The McGraw-Hill Companies (NYSE: MHP), will discuss prospects for the Corporation at two investor conferences on the media industry next week in New York City. The presentation, entitled "Outlook 2002: Increasing Leverage, Growing Diversification," may include forward-looking information.

On Tuesday, December 4, 2001, Mr. McGraw will address the Credit Suisse First Boston Media Week Conference at The Plaza Hotel. Mr. McGraw is scheduled to speak from 3:10 p.m. to 3:55 p.m. (EST).

On Thursday, December 6, 2001, Mr. McGraw will address the UBS Warburg 29th Annual Media Week Conference at the Grand Hyatt Hotel. He is scheduled to speak from 11:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. (EST).
