Institute of Internal Auditors' Financial Services Conference
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 1, 2001
Ponte, the pioneer of network security control (NSC), today announced that vice president of marketing and product management, Alan Norquist, has been selected to speak at the Institute of Internal Auditors' Financial Services Conference. The session entitled, "Risk Management: Security Solutions for Financial Services" will be presented on Wednesday, Oct. 3 from 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. at the Rosen Plaza Hotel in Orlando, Fla.
As financial institutions increasingly rely on the Internet to facilitate new business initiatives, the risk of network security breaches has grown exponentially. Surprisingly, despite the widespread deployment of network security products, security breaches are still on the rise. Norquist's presentation will discuss the costs associated with network attacks and how auditors can be instrumental to the successful implementation of risk management processes. To that end, Norquist will recommend specific metrics that auditors can use to measure and manage the network security risks for their organizations.
About Financial Services Conference
Representatives and regulators from leading banking, brokerage, insurance, and financial services organizations will discuss the latest changes shaping the industry: mergers and acquisitions, risk management, loss prevention, and financial privacy threats and liabilities. The latest on derivatives, money laundering, e-banking, wire transfer issues, and identity theft will be discussed. About Ponte
Founded in 1998, Ponte provides network security control software that allows enterprises and managed service providers to centrally control network security policy across all network devices, regardless of vendor or device type. Organizations can now mitigate risk from security vulnerabilities by using the Ponte nsControl(TM) solution to automate the update of their networks in response to newly identified security threats or changes in best practices. The platform automates the implementation of security policy through the translation of policy to device configurations and then the deployment of configurations, firmware, and passwords to network devices.
