EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 17, 2001
Stellent(TM), Inc. (Nasdaq:STEL), a global provider of enterprise content management solutions formerly named IntraNet Solutions, announced today that it has joined the IBM PartnerWorld Portlet Provider Program. The program is designed to provide IBM Business Partners the ability to quickly develop portal applications, or "portlets," for the IBM WebSphere(a) Portal. These portlets are then available to WebSphere customers through IBM's Portlet Catalog as well as through IBM Business Partner Web sites.
"We are excited to expand our relationship with IBM through its Portlet Provider Program," said Dan Ryan, vice president of marketing and business development for Stellent. "By developing portlets for WebSphere Portal, we are providing users with secure, personalized access to the critical business content they need to perform their jobs effectively. This relationship further strengthens Stellent's position as a content management vendor of choice among portal providers."
The first portlets from Stellent were demonstrated at Solutions 2001, the IBM Developers Conference held in August in San Francisco, Calif., and will be available in the fourth quarter of 2001. These portlets will enable businesses to access a wide range of Stellent(TM) Content Management features from the IBM portal platform, allowing quicker deployment of sophisticated, content-rich enterprise portals.
"WebSphere Portal users need robust content management capabilities, such as search, subscription, native contribution and workflow," said Larry Bowden, vice president, e-portal solutions, IBM. "The Stellent Content Management system integrates with WebSphere Portal and is highly scalable, enabling customers to expand their use of this technology as their organizations grow."
IBM's WebSphere platform is e-business infrastructure software -- known as middleware -- that enables companies to develop, deploy and integrate next-generation e-business applications, such as those for business-to-business e-commerce. WebSphere supports business applications from simple Web publishing through enterprise-scale transaction processing. WebSphere transforms the way businesses manage customer, partner and employee relationships. More information about the WebSphere software platform is on the Web at www.ibm.com/websphere.
