Paul McCartney, in conjunction with Microsoft Corp. and Capitol Records Inc., today announced that behind-the-scenes footage of Paul McCartney's rehearsal for the upcoming "Concert For New York," a concert to benefit the victims of the Sept. 11 attack, will be posted on MSN Music (http://music.msn.com/), WindowsMedia.com (http://WindowsMedia.com/) and paulmccartney.com (http://www.paulmccartney.com/) moments after his rehearsal.

The Internet-first, exclusive rehearsal footage will be available beginning today and continuing through Friday, Oct. 19. In addition, fans will have an opportunity to chat with the legendary Beatle at paulmccartney.com on Thursday, Oct. 18 and Friday, Oct. 19. This Internet special also will give fans the chance to hear two new songs from McCartney's upcoming release "Driving Rain."

The rehearsal footage and songs will be offered using Windows Media technologies for the highest sound and picture quality.

"This rare glimpse into Paul McCartney's preparations for a major concert is a special event for his fans around the world," said Dave Fester, general manager of the Windows Digital Media Division at Microsoft. "Our hope is that this online special helps to make the concert a success in benefiting victims of the recent tragedy in New York."

The behind-the-scenes footage will be taped onsite at McCartney's rehearsal for the upcoming "Concert for New York," a one-night-only fund-raising event to benefit the victims of the Sept. 11th terrorist attacks on New York City. The concert will also pay tribute to the rescue workers who worked tirelessly to save the lives of others. "The Concert for New York" is set to air live on VH1 from Madison Square Garden on Saturday, Oct. 20.

Fans also can go to paulmccartney.com on Thursday, Oct. 18 and Friday, Oct. 19 for an opportunity to chat with McCartney. He will be logging on periodically throughout the day and chatting with fans from around the world.

This Internet special also offers fans an opportunity to hear two new songs from McCartney's upcoming release, "Driving Rain." "Driving Rain" is the first studio album of new songs from Paul McCartney in four years and will be released by Capitol Records on Nov. 13. These two songs include the album's first single, "From A Lover To Friend," which is also the title track in the upcoming feature film "Vanilla Sky," and the new song "Lonely Road," which McCartney recorded in a hotel room in Goa. These two new tracks will be available, using Windows Media, at WindowsMedia.com (http://WindowsMedia.com/). Windows Media content can be played on the more than 350 million Windows Media Players distributed worldwide.
