Embassy Suites Hotels(R), the national brand of upscale, all-suites hotels, has announced that the new 174-suite Embassy Suites Hotel Dorado del Mar Beach & Golf Resort in Puerto Rico has opened.

The Embassy Suites Hotel Dorado del Mar Beach & Golf Resort represents the second Embassy Suites Hotel in Puerto Rico. The resort is owned by Hotel Dorado S.E., based in Puerto Rico, and managed by a subsidiary of Hilton Hotels Corp. Hotel Dorado also operates the Embassy Suites Hotel & Casino-San Juan, which opened in March 1997.

Located at 201 Dorado del Mar Blvd., the hotel features a tropical Lagoon Pool with a Lagoon Pool Bar & Grill; a Chi Chi Rodriguez signature 18-hole PAR-72 golf course, two tennis courts, a golf range and professional golf services on-site; a Kid's Club; fitness center with a massage room; recreational activities; beach services; a whirlpool; sundeck; and access to a variety of water sports.

The resort features traditional two-room suites, offering a separate living area with a sofa bed, private bedroom and bath, two televisions, a wet bar, refrigerator, microwave oven, an iron and ironing board, a safe deposit box, work desk, high-speed Internet access and voice mail.

For guests' dining pleasure, the resort also includes a 100-seat Paradise Cafe offering gourmet dishes prepared by Chef Pablo Budet; a full, complimentary, cooked-to-order breakfast each morning; and a two-hour nightly manager's reception.

Ideal for meetings with recreation and sports built into the agenda, the hotel features approximately 10,000 square feet of meeting space, including six meeting rooms.
