GREAT NECK, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 22, 2001
CoActive Marketing Group, Inc. (NASDAQ SmallCap: CMKG), a full service marketing, sales promotion and interactive services company, announced today that it and its Cincinnati-based CoActivity.com interactive division which is currently the Interactive Promotions partner for General Motors' Chevrolet Division's North Central region, have been awarded promotional assignments for the Division's Western region as well.
Under a contract that is expected to generate additional revenues in excess of $500,000, CoActive will create and manage the Ski Chevy lifestyle promotion in Washington, California, Oregon, Utah, Nevada, New Mexico, Arizona and Colorado, and the NFL sports marketing program in Ohio, Indiana, Wisconsin and Illinois. CoActive's responsibilities include marketing strategy, creative, event management, fulfillment and Web design and development.
"We are proud that General Motors has recognized the success of our prior work for them by entrusting us with a bigger piece of their business," said CoActivity.com's President, Mike Halloran. "We're confident that CoActive's big and bold ideas will continue to provide GM with innovation and creativity."
Ski Chevy is a purchase fulfillment program uniting Chevrolet with six resorts in the western U.S., including Copper Mountain Resort, CO; Stevens Pass and Schweitzer Harbor Resorts, WA; Kirkwood Resorts, CA; Park City Mountain Resort, UT; and Mountain High Resort, CA. The promotion offers customers ski passes at the resort in their market area with the purchase of a qualified Chevrolet S.U.V. or truck.
The NFL program in the Midwest region builds on CoActivity.com's 2000 www.chevyfans.net online promotion with the addition of the "Drive the Distance" contest, which offers football fans the opportunity to win a Chevrolet Avalanche by competing in an on-field skills competition. Aimed at fans of the Cincinnati Bengals, Indianapolis Colts, Green Bay Packers, Cleveland Browns, and Notre Dame Fighting Irish, "Drive the Distance" combines event marketing at stadiums with team and Chevy branded web sites, as well as a Web reveal game developed by CoActivity.com.
CoActive President and Chief Executive Officer John P. Benfield stated, "At this difficult time for our nation, we are proud to stand with our clients and other fellow Americans in responding to the need to conduct business as usual. We remain optimistic as to the company's continuing profitability and growth throughout the balance of its fiscal 2002 year.
