SANTA MONICA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 23, 2001

Mobile Automation Inc., a leading provider of management solutions for desktop systems and mobile & wireless devices, Tuesday announced the addition of integration support for Novell Directory Services (NDS) with its popular MA2000 device management software.

This release will allow companies who have invested in Novell Directory Services to leverage their investment and utilize the existing directory structure for their organizations when managing their mobile devices with MA2000.

"Part of our strategy at Mobile Automation is to provide strong integration between our unique mobile management platform and the existing infrastructure that enterprises have invested in," said Jack Horner, vice president of engineering for Mobile Automation.

"We have previously developed integration support for Microsoft SMS and Tivoli's desktop products, and we will continue to provide the tools which are needed to complement the full range of desktop management products," added Horner.

The MA2000 Administrator Console provides IT Administrators with quick and easy access to information on all of their mobile and wireless laptop and handheld devices. Companies who use MA2000 and NDS eDirectory will have better access to critical information that is necessary for Help Desk operators, who are diagnosing remote user problems.

MA2000's Web console interface allows companies to view hardware inventory details next to NDS eDirectory user information.
