Adobe Supports Microsoft at Windows XP Launch in New York City; Photoshop Elements Adobe's First Application to Carry ``Designed for Windows XP'' Logo Certification

Adobe Systems Incorporated, (Nasdaq:ADBE) the leader in network publishing, today joined Microsoft Corp. in New York City to support the launch of Windows XP and to announce the first Adobe product to carry the "Designed for Windows XP" logo. The current version of Photoshop(R) Elements software, Adobe's award-winning digital imaging solution designed specifically for amateur photographers, hobbyists and business users, has been certified as meeting the quality standards of Microsoft's Designed for Windows XP logo program.

According to Narayen, customers running current versions of Adobe applications on Windows XP will experience the same functionality as on previous versions of Windows operating systems. "Moving forward, major revisions of Adobe's flagship products will be designed for Windows XP, taking full advantage of the digital imaging and digital video capabilities that distinguish the new Windows XP platform," he said.

Adobe will demonstrate Photoshop Elements and other Adobe software applications using Windows XP in Microsoft's Partner Pavilion at the Marriott Marquis Theater in New York City. Photoshop Elements products carrying the Designed for Windows XP logo are available at Adobe.com as well as local retailers for $99 (U.S.).
