ELKHART, Ind.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 31, 2001

CTS Corporation (NYSE:CTS) today announced that Digi-Key Corporation, one of North America's largest, premier catalog/web stocking distributors, has added the full line of CTS Corporation ClearONE(TM) high-speed bus termination and bias networks to its inventory of off-the-shelf products.

CTS ClearONE(TM) networks feature ball grid array (BGA) packaging that address the demands for high frequency performance and easier board layout. The new CTS products can achieve bandwidth of greater than 1 GHz utilizing proprietary materials for termination, vias and solder ball attachment. Further, these materials reduce parasitic impedance, which is the chief cause of signal degradation. With component density of up to 750 resistors per square inch, space savings of 25% to 40% versus chip array solution are easily realized.

CTS ClearONE(TM) terminators are offered in both 1mm and 1.27mm ball pitches, permitting designers to remain with the 5-mil trace widths and spacings that are popular in the industry. Typical applications include communication and computer network servers and routers, computer workstations, notebooks and desktops, mainframe and storage systems, and instrumentation and test equipment.

The complete line of CTS ClearONE(TM) termination and bias networks is fully detailed in the current Digi-Key catalog. As with all products offered by Digi-Key, CTS ClearONE(TM) networks can be ordered and shipped the same day for next-day delivery. For product availability/ordering, contact Digi-Key toll free at 1-800-344-4539, Phone: 218-681-6674, Fax: 218-681-3380; or view the CTS ClearONE(TM) page @ http://info.digikey.com/t013/v5/561.pdf.> CTS Corporation is a leading designer and manufacturer of electronic components and assemblies for the communications, computer and automotive markets. The Company manufactures products in North America, Europe and Asia. The Company's stock is traded on the NYSE under the ticker symbol "CTS."
