Ziff Davis Media Names Stephen D. Moylan EVP of Sales & Marketing

Robert F. Callahan, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Ziff Davis Media Inc., announced today that Stephen D. Moylan is joining the company as Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing, effective immediately.
Moylan was most recently CEO and President of ThingWorld Multimedia, a venture-backed internet software and services company.
Moylan brings to Ziff Davis Media more than 15 years of experience in sales, marketing and operations management at leading media companies including International Data Group/InfoWorld Media and CapitalCities/ABC. In his new role at Ziff Davis Media, Moylan will report directly to Callahan.
Moylan has a proven track record of delivering solutions to customers, building brands and growing revenues. Prior to joining ThingWorld, Moylan served as CEO, President and Publisher of InfoWorld Media, a unit of International Data Group (IDG). With Moylan at the helm, InfoWorld Media became one of the most successful computer publishing, online and events businesses in the United States.
During Moylan's tenure, InfoWorld Media generated record revenues and profits, with InfoWorld magazine becoming International Data Group's number-one ranked newsweekly worldwide. Moylan was credited with growing revenue and profits five consecutive years.
In addition, Moylan led the launch of InfoWorld's multimillion-dollar web and events business. During his nine years at IDG, Moylan sat on the boards of ComputerWorld, Industry Standard Media and IT Careers.com.
While at ThingWorld Multimedia, Moylan led the company's groundbreaking development, production and distribution of multimedia for media and entertainment companies including NBC, the World Wrestling Federation, Sony/Star Wars, the NFL, MLB and Will Smith Productions. ThingWorld media player was named the "best marketing technology" by Adweek magazine in 1999.
Prior to InfoWorld, Mr. Moylan spent three years at CapCities/ABC as vice president of sales and marketing. Moylan was also involved in the sale of CapCities/ABC's Electronic News to IDG.

Moylan graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Boston University and earned his Masters of Business Administration from the University of San Francisco.
