NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 11, 2001

Data-Rite Systems, Inc., a Web application development company, introduces "Data-Rite's Crystal Clear Intranet Tools," a quick, cost effective tool that centrally publishes reports on the Web for Internet, Intranet and Extranet applications, based on CrystalDecisions' Crystal Reports.

Crystal Clear allows users to run and add critical reports within minutes and then deploy the reports throughout an enterprise. Crystal Clear's reporting engine dynamically runs the report, based on parameters provided by the end user. This mechanism provides unmatched flexibility, allowing report parameters to be easily defined, added and changed.

Crystal Clear configures the report once and provides links to run it on demand. Configuring a report is simple, and requires no programming around the application. Just about any standard windows control can be used as a report parameter: text boxes, radio buttons, checkboxes, and custom defined drop down lists. Parameters can be customized to fit the needs of each report.

The technology solves the LAN/WAN limitations facing many organizations today, taking full advantage of the vast capabilities of TCP-IP. An organization can control the breadth of access using TCP-IP. Data-Rite's Crystal Clear integrates with Windows 2000 security, Microsoft's Active directory and ADSI.

Users sign on securely and are presented with a hierarchically organized list of reports to choose from, or commonly run reports from a dropdown list, based on access groups that they belong to. A simple, secure web page allows administrators to specify and change report access. Reports can be grouped and securely accessed for both internal and external communications.

"Crystal Clear was developed in direct response to the huge demand we saw first-hand for better reporting tools. We believe that Web-based applications, where software meets communication infrastructure, will prove to be right choice for smart businesses." commented Mike Feldman, President and Founder of Data-Rite Systems, Inc.
