CAMBRIDGE, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 11, 2001
Peoplestreet(TM), the leader in Personalized Relationship Marketing solutions, today announced a wealth of new capabilities that will empower the enterprise to build and enhance relationships with their customers, partners, employees and prospects through the use of LiveCards, self-updating electronic business cards. As part of this announcement, the company announced enhanced security features, added marketing capabilities and integration with Lotus Notes.
"Today's announcement is a direct result of feedback from our enterprise customers," said Alper Caglayan, CEO of Peoplestreet. "Our new services enable enterprise-level businesses to easily integrate LiveCards into their environment and maintain the highest level of security, while leveraging their current technology infrastructure and assets."
The new capabilities announced today include: Identity Authentication and Proxy Awareness for added security, LiveCards On Demand for easy employee rollout, Viral LiveCard Services for enhanced marketing and a LiveCard Companion for Lotus Notes, further expanding Peoplestreet's reach into the enterprise market.
The first capability, Identity Authentication, confirms an employee's identity through an email, allowing only validated users access to a company LiveCard template, further protecting the company's brand. Proxy Awareness allows the LiveCards Service to utilize the security provided by existing proxies when exchanging contact information via the Internet.
LiveCards On Demand makes getting started with LiveCards quick and easy. The new service creates pre-populated LiveCards for employees or customers with data from the company's existing database. The employee or customer receives a Web link to their LiveCard, where they can make changes or activate it.
Viral LiveCard Services leverage the viral nature of LiveCards and the Internet, allowing businesses to transform current customers into a new marketing channel to acquire future customers. When customers accept a businesses' LiveCard and send back their own, the customer's LiveCard can be marked as being associated with that business. When a new member registers as a result of clicking on that customer's LiveCard, the business has the ability to sponsor that new member's registration, thus offering the business added brand awareness and a new prospecting tool.
"Spencer Stuart Talent Network plans to use Peoplestreet's Viral LiveCard Services as a way to build a pipeline of qualified candidates," said Lori Massad, Vice President of Business Development, Spencer Stuart Talent Network. "Often our current clients' and candidates' networks are a great source of new, highly qualified talent and we plan to use LiveCards to leverage and build our network."
Also announced today is the availability of a LiveCard Companion for Lotus Notes. With the new Companion, Lotus Notes 4.6 and R5 users can now experience the full power and performance of Peoplestreet LiveCards, which will be fully integrated with their Lotus Notes email and address book. The LiveCard Companion will empower Lotus Notes users to incorporate the Peoplestreet LiveCard Services into their daily workflow. In email, the LiveCard Companion will notify users upon receipt of a new LiveCard and/or can integrate the LiveCard as their default email signature. In the address book, The LiveCard Companion will add new LiveCards received to the user's address book and update the address book when changes occur to those LiveCards.
The LiveCard Companion is available for free from the Peoplestreet Web site at www.peoplestreet.com.
"We're excited about Peoplestreet's new enterprise services," said Eric Kirby, CEO of Veripost, the e-mail change of address service. "They've listened to the needs of customer-focused companies and have responded with a set of powerful tools. We look forward to continuing our Peoplestreet relationship."
Finally, Peoplestreet also announced additional capabilities for the enterprise including: Data Transfer Services to move clean customer data from the Peoplestreet servers to a company database; and LiveCard Customization for advanced customization of LiveCard designs and fields, as well as field auto formatting to maintain high levels of corporate brand integrity.
