Spirit Airlines Suspends All Flights Until 5 AM Wednesday, September 12th; All Spirit Passengers, Crew and Aircraft Safely on Ground Around US

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 11, 2001
Executives of Fort Lauderdale based Spirit Airlines announce that all flights are suspended until 5 am tomorrow, September 12th, unless otherwise directed by the FAA's national emergency groundstop.
Spirit requests that all non-essential customer calls be discontinued into the airline's headquarters and 800 numbers. Refunds, rescheduling and other activities will be reinstated once the FAA gives notice.
All Spirit passengers, crew and aircraft are accounted for and securely on the ground in airports around the country.
