SAN ANTONIO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 11, 2001
At this time, our network is fully operational, although we are receiving higher call volumes. SBC and its companies have taken added safety and security measures at its facilities, in light of today's tragic events. As a precaution, we have heightened security at facilities across our territory. This includes added network monitoring and appropriate safety measures for our employees. We are also cooperating as part of a larger effort to ensure that our link within the national communications system is sound, and that communications nationwide are kept open.
We are doing everything we can to ensure the reliability of our network, and we send our deepest sympathies to Americans everywhere during this national tragedy.
