      WHAT: Omar Tyree is slated to sign autographs of his new book Just
        Say No!, at Media Play in the Town Center Plaza.

      WHO: Omar Tyree was studying to become a pharmacist at the
        University of Pittsburgh when he discovered his ability to
        write. In 1991, he was hired as a reporter and an assistant
        editor at "The Capitol Spotlight" weekly newspaper in
        Washington D.C.

          In October of 1992, he wrote Colored, On White Campus, and
        published it with financial help from family friends. This
        book sold well enough to publish Flyy Girl in 1993. By 1995
        Omar Tyree received a contract deal and has published eight
        novels including, For the Love of Money, A Do Right Man, and
        Capital City.

          His recent novel, Just Say No!, delivers a powerful story of
        two friends who become lured into the madness of R & B
        stardom. Just Say No! went on sale August 7, 2001, and has
        soared to the top of best seller's lists nation wide.
