P.H. Glatfelter Company Elects Alan O'Rear As Chief Information Officer

P.H. Glatfelter Company (NYSE:GLT) today announced that its Board of Directors has elected Alan O'Rear as Chief Information Officer.
Mr. O'Rear has been engaged at P.H. Glatfelter Company since February 2000 as the Company's acting CIO while an associate partner of Accenture in the consulting firm's strategy and business development practice. In this role, he has been a senior manager in leading P.H. Glatfelter Company's business transformation initiatives and its efforts to implement the Company's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.

As an Associate Partner at Accenture's Strategic and Business Architecture organization, Mr. O'Rear has assisted companies focusing on global business processes, managing change, and the strategic use of information technology. Before joining Accenture, Mr. O'Rear was Chief of Information and Technology at Rockhurst University, Kansas City, Vice President-Business Solutions for Yellow Technology Services, Inc., and Vice President-Technology and Chief Information Officer for Unitog Company. He earlier was a management consultant at IBM, serving clients focused on technical solutions for business development.
Mr. O'Rear, who currently resides in York, holds a bachelor's degree in information systems from the University of Kansas.
