Ponte, the pioneer of network security control (NSC), today announced the appointment of Mike Spray as director of business development.
With more than 10 years experience developing and managing sales programs for enterprise software companies, Spray joins Ponte to spearhead the organization's partnership program and extend its overall sales strategy. In this new role, he will be responsible for identifying and building strategic partnerships, as well as generating channel opportunities with key industry resellers.
"Ponte is an innovative company with a strong executive team and a very thorough understanding of the network and security markets," said Mike Spray, director of business development at Ponte. "I'm looking forward to working with a group of industry veterans as we continue to build a strong customer base and execute a successful partner strategy."
Prior to joining Ponte, Spray worked for Entrust Technologies, a provider of Internet security solutions and services. As an early member of Entrust's sales team, he helped establish and build several sales territories across the U.S., focusing on key vertical market segments. In his six years with Entrust, he held numerous positions in sales, most recently as Global Channels Manager with responsibility for developing and managing the company's international reseller partners.
"As Ponte continues to build relationships with partners that add value to our network security control solutions, it is essential that we have a seasoned expert piloting our efforts," said Brian Smith, president of Ponte. "Mike's leadership and experience managing partner programs in the enterprise security market makes him the ideal addition to our management team."
About Ponte
Founded in 1998, Ponte provides network security control solutions that allow enterprises and managed service providers to centrally control network security policy across all network devices, regardless of vendor or device type. Organizations can now mitigate risk from security vulnerabilities by using the Ponte nsControl(TM) software to automate the update of their networks in response to newly-identified security threats and changes in best practices. Ponte's nsControl software automates the implementation of security policy through the translation of policy to device configurations, followed by the deployment of configurations, firmware, and passwords and other credentials to network devices.
