SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 6, 2001

iCALL Systems, Inc.(TM) (OTCBB:ICAS), a leading provider of customer contact and relationship building services, specializing in live online sales assistance for the Internet and digital media, today announced that it has signed a 4-year strategic alliance agreement with Hewlett-Packard Sales (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (NYSE:HWP).

Under the terms of the agreement, HP Services Division will provide its clients with the iCALL Systems integrated suite of Internet customer service solutions and will incorporate iCALL Systems' capabilities into HP's Customer Interaction Centers. HP and iCALL Alliance Managers are currently directing a full-time team to sell and support the iCALL Systems solution. Several joint engagements are already underway.

The iCALL Systems integrated suite delivers turnkey communications solutions to corporations, providing them with the ability to experience increased customer retention, revenue and profitability.

Equipped with the latest in telephony and computer technologies, iCALL Systems provides all forms of customer contact and interaction services -- ranging from telephone, fax and email management, to live interactive sales assistance using VoIP, text chat, co-web browsing and customer self-service -- from a single source, backed by a sophisticated knowledge base.

As part of the agreement, HP will provide iCALL Systems with telecommunications, operating infrastructure, market intelligence and additional resources to jointly pursue new clients. iCALL Systems will benefit through significant cost savings, time to market, solid infrastructure and an expert sales team.

"The companies who will succeed in the digital economy will be those companies who use technology to help build long-term customer relationships," said Michael Soh, Country General Manager of HP Services. "With iCALL Systems' capabilities, HP can help our clients build strong customer equity and their corporate image by transforming the manner in which they offer complete end-to-end customer care. HP is extremely pleased to play a key role to help iCALL Systems achieve its vision and accelerate the growth of its service in the region."

With the iCALL Systems strategic alliance agreement, HP continues to build on the phenomenal momentum it generated in Malaysia during the first half of 2001. The value of HP's new business signings in Malaysia during the third quarter increased 45 percent over the comparable 2000 period and is up by 55% percent year to date.

"I am excited about forming this strategic alliance with HP. It is a significant milestone for iCALL Systems," stated Marc Crimeni, President and CEO of iCALL Systems, Inc. "By leveraging our complementary technologies and skill sets, this alliance provides iCALL Systems clients and HP's clients with an optimal customer service solution. I would like to thank the entire HP team for all their hard work in helping make this alliance a reality. We look forward to contributing to HP's continued growth of their e-services throughout the region."

iCALL Systems and HP are currently completing construction of the iCALL Systems Malaysia customer care center that will operate from HP's data center facility at Wisma Cycle Carri in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. HP will build and manage the iCALL Systems information network -- ensuring reliable, fast, secure and cost-effective connectivity for the Company's regional and international services. The new center is expected to be fully operational in November 2001.
