EPMD Announces Abhijeet Lele as New Member of Board of Directors

EP MedSystems, Inc. (NASDAQ: EPMD) today announced the appointment of Abhijeet Lele as a new member of its board of directors.
Abhijeet Lele is a General Partner of EGS Private Healthcare Partnership and EGS Private Healthcare Partnership II, private equity funds focusing on investments in private and public healthcare companies. Before joining EGS, Mr. Lele was a consultant in the healthcare practice of McKinsey & Company and previously held operating positions in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. He holds an MA in molecular biology from Cambridge University and an MBA with distinction from Cornell University. Mr. Lele also serves on the boards of Amarin Corporation (NASDAQ: AMRN), CryoCath Technologies (TSE: CYT), OptiScan Biomedical, Ekos Corporation, InfiMed Therapeutics and Genesis Pharmaceutical.

EP MedSystems develops and markets cardiac electrophysiology ("EP") products used to diagnose and treat certain cardiac arrhythmia disorders. The Company's EP product line includes the EP-WorkMate(R) Electrophysiology Workstation, the EP-3(TM) Stimulator, diagnostic electrophysiology catheters, internal cardioversion catheters and related disposable supplies.
