SeeBeyond To Deliver Real-Time Integration Among Kiabi's Stores
and Central Applications, Including Retek and Oracle
SeeBeyond (Nasdaq:SBYN), the leading global provider of eBusiness and Application Integration solutions, today announced that Kiabi, a leading French clothing retailer, has chosen SeeBeyond to provide its strategic integration infrastructure, enabling integration and optimization of business processes between its stores and central applications.
With approximately 7,000 people employed in more than 100 stores across France, Spain and Italy, Kiabi is one of the largest French clothing retailers in Europe. With an aggressive growth strategy currently in place, Kiabi has plans to open a number of new stores in 2002. The SeeBeyond platform will support this European expansion by enabling the rapid connection of new stores to Kiabi's core applications, including Retek TopPlan and Oracle Financials.
"We need a real-time information network that allows us to very rapidly and dynamically integrate new store applications. SeeBeyond was selected after extensive evaluations that focused on scalability, manageability and the capacity to handle high volumes of data, both in real time and in a batch mode," said Christophe Alie, responsible for core business process management for Kiabi. "Furthermore, SeeBeyond will help us to generate significant ROI surrounding the integration of new software packages, in addition to development and maintenance costs during the first 18 months of deployment."
SeeBeyond has become the leading eAI platform in retail. Major organizations that use the SeeBeyond(TM) Business Integration Suite include Barnes & Noble.com, Boots, Carrefour Belgium, GlobalNetXchange, Lands' End, FNAC, Hallmark, Lechters, Leroy Merlin, PETsMART, Sainsbury's, Supermarches Match, Sumitomo Shoji and WHSmith.
"Retailers today are faced with tremendous pressure to become more agile and responsive to rapidly changing consumer demands," said Jean-Pierre Roux, Vice President of Southern Europe for SeeBeyond. "Many organizations have chosen best-of-breed application solutions and now require an integration infrastructure capable of processing, in real time, high volumes of data between the various applications along the supply chain. Implementing a robust platform for integration will result in faster time to market and significant reductions in inventory costs, where the enhanced forecasting accuracy will accelerate the movement of goods through the supply chain -- ultimately leading to a better customer experience."
