SANTA MONICA, Calif.--(ENTERTAINMENT WIRE)--April 16, 2002

The Eagles have announced their upcoming seven-week "Summer Tour 2002," kicking off on May 31 in Reno, Nevada and have teamed up with Yahoo! Inc. (Nasdaq: YHOO) to enable fans to purchase tickets via an exclusive online ticket pre-sale. On Thursday, April 18th, advance tickets will be available for concert dates in Reno, NV; El Paso, TX; Portland, OR; and Moline, IL at http://eagles.yahoo.com. The general ticket on-sale for these shows will be Monday, April 22nd, through Ticketmaster(1). The band, consisting of Glenn Frey, Don Henley, Joe Walsh and Timothy B. Schmit, last toured North America during their 1995 SRO "Hell Freezes Over" tour and will be performing songs from their Selected Works: 1972-1999 CD box set, as well as other Eagles classics.

Yahoo! Internet pre-sale and general ticket sale information for additional concert dates will be announced shortly. Yahoo! will be promoting the pre-sale extensively across its network, including the Yahoo! home page and through LAUNCH (http://launch.yahoo.com), the Internet's #1 music destination.

Eagles fans purchasing tickets through Yahoo! will have an opportunity to win front row seats to the concert. Additionally, fans will have the ability to enter an auction for a trip to the Las Vegas concert to meet the band as well as autographed guitars and Selected Works: 1972-1999 CD box sets. Proceeds for the auction will benefit A Grass Roots Aspen Experience, the Caddo Lake Institute, C.O.A.C.H for Kids, and The California Innocence Project. During the duration of the tour Yahoo! will be programming rare Eagles music videos and a special LAUNCHcast Internet radio station featuring a wide variety of Eagles songs.

The Eagles have sold more than 120 million albums worldwide, earning four #1 U.S. singles and four Grammy Awards. Their Greatest Hits 1971-1975 is the biggest selling album of all time in the United States (more than 27 million copies) and, coupled with Hotel California (more than 16 million copies), they were the first band to have two albums sell in excess of ten million copies domestically. The Eagles were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1998.

Concerts West, an Anschutz Entertainment Group company, is the national promoter of the Eagles "Summer Tour 2002."
