NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 18, 2002

Moneyline Telerate

Industry's leading and most authoritative fixed income analysis tool

now available to Moneyline Telerate feed, workstation and Internet

customers

Moneyline Telerate, the leading network for benchmark financial information and transaction services, and Salomon Analytics Inc, a subsidiary of Citigroup's Salomon Smith Barney unit, announced today an exclusive agreement to provide the Yield Book Calculator to Moneyline Telerate's market data feed, workstation and Internet customers around the globe.

The Yield Book Calculator is designed to provide risk and value measures for fixed income securities, access to Salomon Smith Barney's historical price, yield, and spread data, and one-for-one or two-for-one swap analysis.

The Yield Book Calculator uses the same data and financial models as The Yield Book(R), a fixed income portfolio system used by Salomon Smith Barney's sales, trading and research professionals and by many institutional investors, including 83 of the top 100 U.S. fixed income investment managers. While The Yield Book is used mainly for portfolio analysis, the Yield Book Calculator focuses on individual securities and is delivered over the Internet. Securities in the Yield Book Calculator may be valued relative to either government yield curves or swap curves using data from all of the world's major bond markets. The Yield Book Calculator is now available across Moneyline Telerate's entire portfolio of products - feed, workstation and Internet - providing flexible access for traders from within their favorite screens.

"This announcement gives proof-positive to the Moneyline Telerate vision of becoming a neutral, dealers' network, providing a channel for the major liquidity-providers to offer their data and services to a wider audience of interest," said Jon Robson, CEO of Moneyline Telerate. "We are very proud and excited to be offering this high value-added service, providing a very cost effective way to bring the power of this industry standard to every buy and sell side trader in the market, thus increasing the customers' competitive advantage and revenue potential. It's all part of our goal to become the industry standard both in the provision of benchmark data as well as security analytics."

"The Yield Book products are widely respected because they employ market-tested analytics that conform to the way that fixed income professionals manage their daily activities," said Thomas Klaffky, CEO of Salomon Analytics Inc. "This partnership with Moneyline Telerate is important to us because it creates an important link between the Yield Book Calculator and the Moneyline Telerate products that so many people in the bond market use to make their portfolio management and trading decisions."

The security types included in the Yield Book Calculator are:

- Government Bonds

- price yield calculations

- effective duration and option-adjusted spread analysis

- historical data (including security prices, yields, spreads, and prepayment
and factor history)
