TrueSAN's Cloudbreak Storage Operating System(TM)

to Support LSI Logic's MetaStor(R) Storage Systems

TrueSAN Networks, Inc. (www.truesan.com), a pioneer in storage infrastructure software, today announced a strategic alliance with LSI Logic Storage Systems to integrate TrueSAN's Cloudbreak Storage Operating System with LSI Logic's MetaStor storage systems. With this alliance, both companies will collaborate on bringing the advanced storage management capabilities of the Cloudbreak Storage Operating System to storage network infrastructures based on LSI Logic storage solutions. As an LSI Logic Storage Systems alliance partner, TrueSAN is licensing the LSI Logic Storage System application programming interface (API) and software developer's kit (SDK) for the MetaStor E-Series storage systems.

"This alliance enables customers with storage systems from LSI Logic to leverage the end-to-end storage management capabilities of the Cloudbreak Storage Operating System to simplify and optimize their storage networks," stated Tom Isakovich, President and CEO of TrueSAN. "LSI Logic is a recognized leader in enterprise storage systems, and our partnership signifies both companies' commitment to reducing infrastructure cost and complexity through open storage management."

TrueSAN's Cloudbreak solution represents the first Storage Operating System: a comprehensive, network-based platform for managing heterogeneous storage networks. Unlike single-purpose utilities, Cloudbreak represents a unique solution: a software suite that combines essential storage management technology (storage virtualization, storage network and device management, storage resource management, business continuance applications, and policy management) in a single, integrated platform. TrueSAN's end-to-end approach to storage management enables customers to unify their storage infrastructures to reduce management costs and capitalize on the benefits of storage networking. Cloudbreak's storage network and device management technology will leverage LSI Logic's robust API and SDK to provide complete support for the MetaStor E-Series family of storage subsystems within the Cloudbreak environment.

"TrueSAN's support for LSI Logic Storage Systems addresses end-user concerns regarding the complexity of storage management in large-scale, heterogeneous environments," said Flavio Santoni, vice president of Sales and Marketing for LSI Logic Storage Systems, Inc. "Our alliance with TrueSAN will enable end users to efficiently manage their storage environment while leveraging the seamless scalability and high performance of LSI Logic's storage solutions."
