Pivotal and Telefonica Data Sign Agreement for Hosted CRM Systems in Latin America; Partners Target Companies in the Mid-Sized Enterprise Market

Pivotal Corporation (Nasdaq:PVTL) (TSE:PVT), and Telefonica Data Argentina S.A., a subsidiary of Telefonica Data, today announced the signing of a business development agreement. Under the terms of the agreement, Telefonica Data is the preferred application service provider (ASP) for Pivotal's sensible customer relationship management (CRM) software in Latin America. Together, the companies are targeting the mid-sized enterprise market with a cost-effective, flexible hosted solution that offers a complete software suite of applications, including CRM, partner relationship management (PRM) and interactive selling.

As Pivotal's preferred ASP provider, Telefonica Data is training a team of more than eighty sales and service professionals on Pivotal's CRM software. Telefonica Data is responsible for marketing, selling, hosting and managing the system, to joint Pivotal customers. To achieve aggressive joint revenue goals, Telefonica Data is launching targeted marketing campaigns, product catalogues and customer events to quickly identify sales opportunities in its current customer base.
Pivotal's long-term alliance partner, CMT will be a critical participant in this newly formed partnership. CMT has been a premier Pivotal reseller in Latin America for more than three years and will be providing on the ground marketing, sales, service and development resources to support the Pivotal-Telefonica Data alliance.
Pivotal, Telefonica and CMT will work together to form a shared understanding of the challenges and businesses requirements of Latin American companies. Using this knowledge, the companies will develop specialized industry solutions to help businesses maximize customer performance and profitability. The first joint solutions will include shipping, insurance, manufacturing and health care.
