NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE FEATURES)--April 30, 2002
Anderson French New York, Inc., an authority on luxury hair care, today announced it is one of a select group of salons offering the latest hair straightening process, which can transform unruly frizz or curls into silky, pin straight locks--permanently.
The Japanese process called thermal reconditioning was designed for style conscious women who--in an effort to create a sleeker look for their hair--have been enslaved by flat-irons, straightening products and blow dryers. The treatment leaves hair straight and frizz-free even on humid days or after being air-dried.
"This is the ultimate indulgence for women who spend hours each week straightening their hair--only to watch it frizz in damp weather," said Stuart R. Anderson, executive style director for Anderson French whose clients include some of today's hottest stars. "The look is glossy, sexy and beautiful... and best of all they can just shampoo and go."
Using Liscio technology provided by Shinbi, the procedure takes about four hours and involves several steps: coating hair with a protective solution to promote a healthy look, applying a chemical relaxer, shaping with a special 180 degree flat iron and setting with a second chemical solution.
You don't have to look far to realize that straight hair is all the rage in Hollywood. Even actresses with notoriously curly hair such as Sex in the City's Sarah Jessica Parker and Will & Grace's Debra Messing have been ironing their manes.
