StreamCast Networks, creators of Morpheus, and WURLD Media, Inc., today announced a strategic partnership and the availability of the Morpheus Shopping Club. WURLD Media has provided their BuyersPort Shopping Club product to StreamCast Networks, offering e-commerce rewards for the Morpheus user community.
The Shopping Club was developed to build a bridge between consumers and retailers, creating the world's leading consumer loyalty and rewards program.
The Morpheus Community Earns Cash Rewards
The Morpheus shopping club is an e-commerce platform, providing consumers with unprecedented buying power while securing cash rewards when qualified purchases are made with partnered retailers. The rewards program for the shopping club is available through the Morpheus installation process and the soon to be released 2.0 version; currently the Shop tab within the Morpheus browser offers access to hundreds of retailers.
"We are pleased to offer Morpheus users the ability to shop and receive a return on their purchases," said Steve Griffin, CEO of StreamCast Networks. "We are excited about offering an e-commerce incentive program to the Morpheus user community and providing the opportunity to give to charitable causes. I believe we can all gain a lot if we each give a little."
"The shopping club format is not a new concept, but we believe the reach of the Internet provides a unique and unprecedented opportunity. Our e-commerce platform has been developed and tested over the last 2 1/2 years, and we will offer the consumer the choice to take part in one of the largest shopping groups ever formed, while protecting their privacy" said Greg Kerber, CEO of WURLD Media. "This powerful consumer group will provide a focused, accessible audience for the retail community, while rewarding consumers for online purchases."
Giving to Communities
WURLD Media has enabled the creation of the Lexy Foundation, which works to give support to parents working to meet the needs of children with disabilities both financially and emotionally. Through the Lexy Foundation, a percentage of WURLD Media earnings will be donated to a variety of charitable organizations. These gifts are made possible by the loyalty of WURLD Media employees, retail partners and buying community members.
StreamCast Networks and the founders of WURLD Media Inc. will be joining together to help with the Lexy Foundation's first cause, an initial donation of $110,000 will be given to the non-for-profit Down Syndrome Resource Center in Albany New York.
The Down Syndrome Resource Center (DSRC) will be addressing the special needs of children and adults with Down Syndrome including both medical and educational care. The DSRC is associated with Aim High, the Developmental Pediatric Group in Latham, New York and the Department of Pediatrics at Albany Medical Center.
In addition to WURLD Media's annual contribution to the Lexy Foundation, Morpheus Shopping Club Members will soon have the option of donating their earned cash rewards to the Lexy Foundation or to other charitable organizations.
