Furniture Brands International Names Jeff Young President of Drexel Heritage Furniture Industries

W.G. (Mickey) Holliman, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Furniture Brands International, Inc. (NYSE: FBN), today announced the appointment of Jeff Young as President and Chief Executive Officer of Drexel Heritage Furniture Industries, a subsidiary of Furniture Brands International.
Mr. Young, age 51, began his career in the furniture industry in 1972 in an executive training program with Lexington Furniture Industries. He was named Chief Operating Officer of Lexington in 1990 and served as President and CEO from 1993 to 1999. Most recently, Mr. Young has been engaged in various consulting and entrepreneurial roles.
Mr. Holliman also announced that he has accepted the resignation of Daniel M. Grow as President of Drexel Heritage. Mr. Grow has served in that capacity since 1993 and will be leaving the company to pursue other interests.
Mr. Holliman stated: "Jeff Young is one of the most well-respected managers in the furniture industry, and we are pleased he has agreed to undertake this new role. He has years of experience and success in our industry and will bring a wealth of new ideas to Drexel Heritage."
