WILMINGTON, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 12, 2002
Agfa Monotype Corporation, a major provider of fonts and font technologies worldwide, has added Page Studio Graphics' PIXymbols(TM) font collection to www.fonts.com.
The collection contains 100 font packages comprising over 200 fonts. Image and symbol fonts feature prominently in the collection, which also includes text and display faces. Packages consist of either a single font or a volume with two to eight fonts. Individual packages can be previewed, purchased and downloaded directly from Fonts.com, where prices start at $24. Each package can be viewed at www.fonts.com/new/pixymbols. Customers may also purchase the entire PIXymbols collection by calling Agfa Monotype at 1-800-424-8973 (U.S. and Canada only) or 1-978-284-5955.
"The PIXymbols collection is a diverse group of highly practical fonts, each with a well thought-out design and purpose," said Allan Haley, director of words and letters at Agfa Monotype. "The addition of PIXymbols fonts further establishes Fonts.com as the most comprehensive and convenient place to shop for fonts on the Internet."
"We designed our PIXymbols fonts as tools for very specific functions," said Roger Vershen, founder of Page Studio Graphics. For example, the Passkey volume can be used to create illustrations of computer keyboard characters and other keys. The Travel & Hotel volume is a comprehensive series of symbols for the recreation industry. The library also includes Faux Arabic, Faux Hebrew, Faux Sanskrit and others, whereby Latin character motifs have been inspired by design themes commonly seen in non-Latin text.
