ENGLEWOOD, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 12, 2002
Enterprise Storage Solutions, a division of the North American Computer Products group of Arrow Electronics, Inc. (NYSE:ARW), today announced that Arrow resellers will be among the first to offer their enterprise storage customers the CLARiiON CX600, EMC's first 2Gbit Fibre Channel Networked Storage System.
As a key component of the CLARiiON CX600 launch, EMC is making the product immediately available in Arrow's industry-leading universal storage labs, where Arrow's technical engineers train resellers and demonstrate system performance in a multi-vendor environment.
The CLARiiON CX600 will be attractive to Arrow enterprise resellers who wish to offer automated networked storage systems to customers who benefit from enterprise storage consolidation and centralized management.
The new product will serve Arrow resellers' high-end and mid-tier markets. Both the CLARiiON CX600 and an earlier version, the CLARiiON FC4700, are currently available for testing and demonstrations in Arrow's universal labs in Atlanta and Minneapolis.
"Arrow's enterprise storage labs enable storage vendors like EMC to launch new products using our unique lab environment," said Lance Sedlak, director, Arrow Enterprise Storage. "These labs are dedicated to helping resellers define the best solutions for their customers through hands-on experimentation, and Arrow's resellers gain a competitive advantage by having easy access to newly introduced products. We're excited to have the CLARiiON CX600 available immediately in our labs for reseller testing and evaluation."
"EMC and Arrow have been working together to help resellers offer the most comprehensive line of leading networked storage systems and software available in the industry," said Terry Richardson, vice president, EMC Reseller Sales. "The immediate addition of the CLARiiON CX600 into the Arrow lineup further strengthens our relationship and will ultimately provide end-user customers with increased functionality and a greater return on their investment."
