Walt Disney Internet Group Names Diana Longarzo Vice President of International Strategy and Business Development

Diana Longarzo has been named vice president of international strategy and business development for the Walt Disney Internet Group (WDIG). In this role, Longarzo will lead strategic product development and business development for WDIG's mobile and broadband businesses.

"She has extensive experience in strategic planning and business development within the wireless, Internet and cable industries, all of which pertain to our business."

Longarzo brings to WDIG nearly 20 years of experience. She joins the company from Longarzo Consulting, a consultancy she founded that specialized in business strategy for entertainment and media companies such as Palm, Inc. and QBEO, Inc., an interactive television company. Before opening her own consulting practice, she was responsible for corporate development at Lightspan, Inc., a leading provider of innovative educational internet services and CD-ROM products.
Longarzo was previously with The Walt Disney Company for more than a decade, most recently as senior vice president of new media development at Disney TeleVentures. She began her career at Disney with the Disney Channel and also has held posts with Twentieth Century Fox Television and Bain & Company.
An active member of industry associations, Longarzo has been honored by the Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing (CTAM) with its esteemed "Tami" award. She earned a Master's of Business Administration from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematical Economics from Pomona College.
