Bar Harbor Bankshares Files Certification Statements With the Securities and Exchange Commission

Bar Harbor Bankshares today filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) its quarterly report on Form 10-Q for the quarter ended June 30, 2002. In accordance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002, the filing includes certifications by Joseph M. Murphy, Bar Harbor Bankshares President and Chief Executive Officer, and Gerald Shencavitz, Bar Harbor Bankshares Chief Financial Officer, that the report fairly presents in all material respects the Company's financial condition and results of operations.
