Dell'Oro Report Shows Foundry as Number One Worldwide Market Share

The survey also found that Foundry has achieved the number one position in Layer 3 Modular 1 Gbps Ethernet switching with 19.3% market share of all port shipments, a 100% market share of all port shipments in Layer 3 10-Gigabit Ethernet switching, as well as an unprecedented 79.8% market share in the strategic and fast-growing modular chassis-based Layer 4 - 7 segment. Foundry has secured the top leadership position for three and a half consecutive years worldwide for Layer 4 - 7 Web switch fixed and modular chassis port shipments.

The 2002 Second Quarter Ethernet Switch Report was released by the Dell'Oro Group on August 14, 2002 and covers all major manufacturers in the Ethernet switch market space. These market share calculations are based on actual port shipments and offer the most accurate measurement of market penetration.
