CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug 15, 2002
IFS signed a multimillion-dollar global agreement in the second quarter with Rockwell Global Manufacturing Solutions of Milwaukee to provide IFS Applications business software and services.
The software will be implemented in phases at multiple sites worldwide to support project management, professional services automation, asset management and manufacturing operations.
Rockwell purchased IFS components for project management, manufacturing, distribution, maintenance, engineering, and e-business.
In the first phase, Rockwell will deploy IFS software to support its Global Manufacturing Solutions operating unit, which provides a single source of consulting, implementation, and support to companies worldwide. The unit's expertise crosses all industries and applications, and its goal is to improve customers' manufacturing efficiencies by identifying key issues and focusing on tangible results.
"IFS Applications is packaged for payback to help companies lower their costs while increasing their revenues -- whether the focus is professional services operations linked with projects, manufacturing, deliveries and after-sales services, etc., or manufacturing organizations," said Terje Vangbo, IFS North America president.
"IFS offers more than 60 components and a wide array of integrated tools, including collaboration functionality, for developing and nurturing customer, partner or supplier relationships. These tools give companies unique capabilities to generate added value, to turn prospects into satisfied customers, and ultimately into enthusiastic references."
