Business Wire, August 19, 2002

Business/Entertainment Editors & High-Tech Writers

AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 19, 2002

Joint Product Integration Will Accelerate The Capability to Deliver

Premier Value-Added Music Service

BroadJump, Inc., the leader in broadband software, and Listen.com today announced a joint product agreement that enhances the ability for broadband service providers to offer and fulfill Listen.com's Rhapsody digital music subscription service to subscribers. Rhapsody, the only online music service developed specifically for the broadband market, gives service providers a value-added offering that taps into subscribers' passion for digital music. Rhapsody gives subscribers unlimited access to more than 15,000 albums of CD-quality music for less than $10 per month.

As the newest member of the BroadJump ChannelDirect Program, Listen.com will pre-integrate Rhapsody with BroadJump's ControlWorks(tm) Activation Edition, a software platform that has become the de facto standard for broadband activation in North America and is responsible for more than six million residential broadband installations to date. BroadJump's service provider customers can leverage this integration to offer Rhapsody to subscribers when they are most likely to purchase -- at the point of qualification and installation -- and then fulfill the service in an automated and seamless manner.

"Listen.com's partnership with BroadJump is a significant step in our strategy to deliver the premier online music service for broadband-connected consumers," said Sean Ryan, chief executive officer of Listen.com. "By integrating Rhapsody with BroadJump's software, we are making it easier for broadband providers to seamlessly fulfill a great music service for their subscribers and increase the quality of consumers' broadband experience."

"The broadband market is primed to move beyond basic high-speed installation to adoption of value-added services," said Kenny Van Zant, chief operating officer of BroadJump. "Through the ChannelDirect Program, service providers are able to define new business models to deliver additional offerings to subscribers and create paths to profitability. By partnering with Listen.com, BroadJump continues to expand the content and applications that service providers can offer and fulfill for their subscribers."

Broadband subscribers who select the Rhapsody service can access over 200,000 tracks of on-demand music, build custom radio stations with music from their favorite artists, or listen to more than 50 stations of professionally programmed Internet radio. Rhapsody is the only service to provide consumers legal access to music from all five major labels, including BMG, EMI Recorded Music, Sony Music Entertainment, Universal Music Group and Warner Music Group. Listen.com has also signed licensing agreements with more than 75 independent labels, including Zomba Recording Corporation, TVT Records, and Bar/None Records.

Listen.com joins other BroadJump ChannelDirect partners including FamilyCLICK, McAfee.com, NCsoft and SwapDrive. BroadJump has created the ChannelDirect Program to enable service providers to generate new and immediate revenue opportunities while giving content and application providers the ability to increase the adoption of their services. Pre-integrating content and application offerings with BroadJump's ControlWorks Activation Edition eliminates the complexity associated with value-added service delivery decreasing time-to-market. By adding Listen.com to its partner roster, BroadJump further extends the variety of content and application offerings available to service providers.
