American Bank Appoints New Board Members

SILVER SPRING, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 2, 2002

American Bank (OTCBB:BKMD.OB) recently announced the appointment of two local executives, George A. Kramer and Douglas M. Bregman, to the board of directors. George A. Kramer, former chairman of the Kronheim Companies, has been active in business and banking in the metropolitan area for over forty years. He was a practicing attorney before joining Kronheim, where as Chairman he helped the company grow to $350 million in annual sales. He is a resident of Bethesda and currently assists the Maryland State Courts as a court appointed Arbitrator. Douglas M. Bregman is managing partner in the law firm of Bregman, Berbert, Schwartz & Gilday, LLC. He works on a variety of commercial transactions and civil lawsuits, and is an Adjunct Professor of Law at Georgetown University Law Center. Bregman also serves as a mediator and an arbitrator and is a Professor of Negotiation and Mediation Skills at the International Institute for Conflict Resolution. He is a graduate of Georgetown University Law Center and received his B.A. from Colgate University.
