Toshiba's Computer Systems Group (CSG) today announced the new TLP-T700U/T701U and TLP-T500U/T501U projector series, featuring Wi-Fi (IEEE 802.11b) capabilities and an integrated document camera, as well as the 2.4-pound TDP-P5-US projector, which offers the industry's richest brightness in an ultra-portable form factor.

The new projectors complement Toshiba's strategy to provide mobile solutions with enhanced technology features that empower business productivity and professionalism.

Toshiba also is introducing the TLP-T400U/T401U series designed as a value-priced alternative for users who do not require wireless capabilities and the TLP-X4100U, a high-end projector featuring special network management capabilities for large conference facilities and auditoriums.

TLP-T700U/T701U and TLP-T500U/T501U Series

Weighing less than nine pounds and featuring wireless networking capabilities, the TLP-T700U/T701U and the TLP-T500U/T501U series bring the advantages of mobile computing to the presentation arena. Wireless capabilities enable multiple users to easily give presentations sequentially without the hassle of cords and cables.

In addition, these portable projectors provide an option for an integrated document camera (TLP-T701U and TLP-T501U) that allows users to display 3-D objects, fine print text, transparency or photograph samples to enhance the impact of their presentations. Toshiba is the only manufacturer to offer an integrated document camera.

TDP-P5-US

In the ultra-portable category, the super-sleek 2.4-pound TDP-P5-US packs a powerful punch with an unprecedented level of brightness (1,100 ANSI Lumens) and multimedia functionality in this form factor.

Though it can be carried easily in a briefcase or purse, the TDP-P5-US is feature-rich, including picture-in-a-picture functionality that allows the video to be added to presentations and a digital keystone correction system to ensure images are projected clearly regardless of the presentation environment.

TLP-T400U/T401U Series

In addition to the TLP-T700U/T701U series and the TLP-T500U/T501U series, which vary only in brightness capabilities (2,000 ANSI Lumens vs. 1,600 ANSI Lumens respectively), Toshiba is introducing the value-priced TLP-T400U/T401U series. The series also comes with an option for an integrated document camera and features a brightness level of 1,600 ANSI Lumens, without integrated Wi-Fi capabilities for users who do not operate in a wireless environment.

The Toshiba TLP-T400U/T401U series features a quick set-up icon menu, operation guide and a convenient remote control with a laser pointer for added flexibility.

TLP-X4100U

Designed for large conference facilities and auditoriums, the Toshiba TLP-X4100U offers enhanced presentation management features to ensure large-scale presentations are delivered flawlessly. The projector includes a special Network Adapter Box that allows remote management by the network operations center or administrator to address challenges quickly, eliminating any interruption in presentations.

The projector offers a whopping 4,100 ANSI lumens brightness level with a 1024x768 XGA resolution for a sharp, detailed picture from the rich LCD color display.

Low-Noise, High Impact

All of Toshiba's new projectors have minimal noise levels that meet the industry standard of 39dB. The TLP-T700U/T701U, TLP-T500U/T501U and TLP-T400U/T401U series operate at 35dB, while the TDP-P5-US operates at a low 32dB. The TLP-X4100U operates at 39dB, which is a low noise level for large-scale projection.

In addition, the projectors feature a sleek design with impressive multimedia capabilities, including built-in 1xW speakers in all models except the TLP-X4100U for superb sound. The TLP-X4100U offers 2X2W (2W 2W) built-in stereo speakers for high-quality sound that resonates crisply in large arenas.
