KIRKLAND, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 27, 2002
Captaris, Inc. (Nasdaq:CAPA), a leading provider of unified communications and mobile business solutions, today announced RightFax 8.5, the newest suite of the world's market leading e-document delivery software which includes enhanced enterprise fax and universal information exchange capabilities that integrate with enterprise business applications.
"The e-document delivery market is expected to grow steadily over the next few years," said Blair Pleasant, President and Principal Analyst, of COMMfusion. "Corporations are demanding a single solution that can seamlessly integrate diverse business applications and process information streams from these applications to customers, vendors and partners. Solutions like those Captaris is offering are providing customers cost-effective ways to increase efficiency for repetitive business processes."
RightFax 8.5 Packaging
Captaris has repackaged and repriced the RightFax family of products with the release of 8.5 to target several areas of high market growth and customer demand. The first is a single solution that can efficiently pull business-critical data from a variety of business applications and provide more efficient channels of document distribution. RightFax 8.5 renders data from legacy systems, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications into actual forms that can be processed and distributed to multiple communication channels. The retrieved information is inputted into documents that can be delivered via email, fax, or the Internet to wireless devices, the desktop, or multifunction copiers and printers.
Targeting the SMB Market
The second area of industry growth is the small- and medium-sized U.S. businesses (SMB) market and the need for scalable packages for low- to high-volume transaction environments. The RightFax 8.5 suite of products addresses this market by offering the ability to manage a range of transactions to automate repetitive tasks for the purpose of accelerating process cycle times.
According to Access Markets International (AMI) Partners, Inc., "As of the second quarter of 2002, over one million U.S. SMBs were using one or more business process automation applications (Sales Force Automation (SFA), CRM, ERP or Supply Chain Management (SCM)) -- that figure represents a 114 percent increase over the 489,000 SMBs that were using the apps during the same period in 2001."
