Amdocs (NYSE: DOX):
Amdocs provides leading wireline operator a pre-integrated
vertical solution with process automation and flexible
service creation for rapid time to market advantages
Amdocs (NYSE: DOX), the world's leading provider of billing and CRM to the communications industry, announced today that Belgacom, the leading telecom operator in Belgium, has implemented Amdocs Order Management to support Local Loop Unbundling (LLU), data connectivity and ADSL wholesale services for Other Licensed Operators (OLOs).
The Amdocs solution replaces Belgacom's previous solutions for improvements in the order and fulfillment process, and offers additional benefits, including improved order tracking and reject handling, flow through billing, rapid launch of new services and minimal IT support.
Amdocs Order Management unique solution handles the entire ordering process, from order capture and negotiation through preparation for provisioning. Providing Belgacom's wireline operations with a uniformed system to meet local government de-regulation requirements, Amdocs offers the solution architecture required for maximum scalability, including engine-driven workflow, built-in problem solving capabilities and an advanced automatic mechanism that receives, standardizes and validates both incoming orders and outbound notifications to the requesting operators.
Amdocs advanced product creation environment module and flexible product catalog will enable Belgacom to optimize the definition of new services and tariffs, for improved time to market and customer satisfaction. Additionally, Amdocs Order Management offers Belgacom a comprehensive single view of all services provided to each OLO, allowing Belgacom to identify potential dependencies and effectively manage the complete ordering process to optimize operational efficiencies and system support costs. Amdocs Order Management is also fully integrated with Belgacom's billing system and pricing catalog, enabling automatic billing of new products.
"Communications service providers continue to seek new approaches for simplifying and managing their complex business environments, with a focus on maintaining infrastructure investments and driving profitable growth," said Michael Couture, Vice President of Marketing at Amdocs. "Amdocs provides the only Telecom-focused integrated order management system required by tier 1 and 2 operators to ensure service fulfillment in a convergent environment. We are pleased to be working with industry leaders such as Belgacom, enhancing their ability to meet customer demands and market de-regulation requirements, while bringing Amdocs proven delivery capabilities and integration expertise to help ensure continued support and success."
