SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 11, 2002
NetIQ Corp. (Nasdaq:NTIQ), a leading provider of Systems Management, Security Management and Web Analytics solutions, today announced that Getronics, a global information technology services and solutions company, has chosen NetIQ(R) AppAnalyzer(TM) for Exchange software to help it monitor and better understand Microsoft Exchange Server usage across the company. NetIQ also announced that AppAnalyzer version 2.5 is now available.
AppAnalyzer 2.5 enables users to more efficiently customize and share reports among staff to better understand usage, performance and storage trends in the Exchange environment. Reports can now be exported to comma-separated values (CSV) format, enabling users to manipulate report data using familiar tools. In addition, the new reports-only web interface uniquely extends the ability of non-system administrators to create and publish reports. Many new reports have also been added to AppAnalyzer providing Exchange administrators greater understanding of how Exchange is being used.
"We turned to NetIQ to help us understand our Exchange message flow and have benefited from AppAnalyzer since the first version was released," said Bruce Lyons, director of Infrastructure and Messaging at Getronics. "AppAnalyzer was instrumental in our being able to track usage statistics, visualize current message flow and use that information to plan changes in message routing."
AppAnalyzer is also helpful to Getronics in managing the company's public folders. Because of the increased functionality, the company recently purchased an additional 18,500 licenses and now has a much wider perspective on its messaging environment.
Adding to the unparalleled reporting capability that AppAnalyzer offers, customers are now able to create more reports on average mailbox, public folder and message size by site, server and group. Users can also exert greater control over the reports by leveraging additional drilldown, filter and trend functionality.
