PLANO, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 17, 2002
Netrake, the leading provider of session controllers for secure interconnection of VoIP networks, today announced it is expanding its market reach to service providers through a strategic agreement with NTT COMWARE, Japan's leading system integrator.
Under the agreement, NTT COMWARE will resell Netrake's flagship product, nCite(TM), throughout Japan as well as provide system integration, technical support, and total network deployment support. NTT COMWARE will offer nCite as a key component of their VoIP network solution suite, providing a comprehensive solution for their installed base of service providers and large, distributed location enterprises.
The two companies began working together earlier this year to integrate their products and conduct thorough testing of the nCite session controller system. NTT COMWARE has now successfully completed rigorous acceptance testing of enterprise and carrier VoIP services using the high performance nCite solution.
"With the implementation of Netrake's session controllers we achieve superior capabilities to provide our customers with the reliable VoIP services they are demanding today and in the future," said Yuji Hirokawa, product marketing director of NTT COMWARE. "No other session controller vendor combines the VoIP quality and impressive list of features that are found in the Netrake nCite. Their real-time redundancy and availability, secure traversal through existing enterprise firewalls, and responsive customer support were the main reasons we selected Netrake's nCite solution."
"We see a significant opportunity for Netrake's products in the Asia Pacific region, particularly in Japan where demand for VoIP and multimedia services continue to gain traction," said Bruce Hill, CEO of Netrake. "We are very pleased to be working with NTT COMWARE in this endeavor and look forward to continuing a successful partnership."
