NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 17, 2002

Mr. Youth today announced the successful completion of the first ever Spirit Foam High School Spirit Competition.

Over $15,000 was raised by local cheerleading teams to support national competitions and local philanthropies.

From September 21st through November 16th, over 80 of the nation's premiere cheerleading teams filled Wal-Mart parking lots in 20 major markets to square off in exciting dance competitions. Onlookers and supporters showed up in full force to the event, which featured over 1,500 participants nationally.

"The Sprit Competition was an amazing experience for our cheerleaders," said Vicky Walcysinksi Head Cheerleading coach of Chicago's Seneca High School. " The funds will go a long way towards some important activities this fall."

Spirit Foam, a Valvoline product, is the new spray-on, peel-off 3-D foam that makes it fun and easy to show your spirit for any special occasion. With Spirit consumers can decorate vehicles and windows with colorful 3-D words and pictures. Tens of thousands of consumers had the chance to try out the spirit foam product on their vehicles during the recent spirit competitions to support their favorite teams.

"Programs like these highlight Mr. Youth's ability to conceive, plan and execute innovative large-scale promotions on the grassroots level," said Paul Tedeschi, CEO and co-founder of Mr. Youth. "We are excited to have had the opportunity to work with Valvoline and Wal-Mart on this project."
