COLUMBIA, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 24, 2002
The success of last year's Honeymoon Express, which included a transatlantic in-flight wedding en route to Iceland, proved that romance is alive and well at Icelandair - leading to an exciting Valentine offer for 2003.
Couples must purchase the Valentine Romance Package to Iceland to receive the surprise: a 3-night getaway to TWO cities in Europe, including an overnight cruise between two countries. They won't know where they're going until they pick up their connecting tickets at Iceland's Blue Lagoon.
The package is available to all, including newlyweds, honeymooners, anniversary celebrants, or "just friends." An onboard celebration of romance will allow brides and grooms to take or renew their vows as they fly off to their secret honeymoon.
Participants should pack their wedding attire to be eligible for special gifts, including bridal favors, flowers, jewelry and wedding photos. Brides may change into their gowns at the Blue Lagoon, where the grooms will receive a complete tuxedo - 3-day rental courtesy of Gingiss Formalwear of Baltimore.
The Valentine Romance Package is $429 per person from Boston, Baltimore/Washington and Minneapolis/St. Paul; $509 per person from Orlando. Package price is based on double occupancy, and includes round-trip transatlantic air, two nights hotel with breakfast, cruise with accommodations and the Surprise Destination Sendoff Party at the Blue Lagoon. Prices quoted are exclusive of applicable taxes and official charges by destination of approximately $80-$115, including the September 11th Security Fee of $2.50 per U.S. enplanement. Personal travel insurance is not included.
Valentine Romance flights depart Icelandair gateways in Boston, Baltimore/Washington and Minneapolis/St. Paul on Thursday evening, February 13, 2003; flights from Orlando depart Wednesday, February 12, 2003.
The Honeymoon Express flight - including onboard vows - will depart Iceland on Valentine's Day, February 14, 2003, returning from Iceland to Boston, Baltimore/Washington and Minneapolis/St. Paul on Monday evening, February 17, 2003; flights return to Orlando on Tuesday, February 18, 2003.
Passengers may book through Professional Travel Agents or Icelandair Holidays at (800) 779-2899 - but no one will know the final destination until February 14th!
