BEDFORD, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 4, 2002

Georgia Oglethorpe Award Recipient to Deploy MAXIMO Mobile Suite

to Manage 88 Schools and 20 Support Facilities

MRO Software (Nasdaq: MROI), the leading provider of e-Business solutions for strategic asset management, today announced that Gwinnett County Public Schools' (GCPS) Division of Facilities & Operations, a recent Malcolm Baldrige-based Georgia Oglethorpe Award recipient, has selected MAXIMO. The agreement was signed in MRO Software's quarter ended September 30, 2002.

Georgia-based GCPS' 2002-2003 projected enrollment totals 123,685 students. Increasing at the rate of more than 6,000 students per year, it is one of the fastest-growing school systems in the nation. By the school year 2006-2007, student enrollment is projected to reach more than 147,000. GCPS determined that it needed a facilities management system that could accommodate its expanded needs. After a comprehensive evaluation process, GCPS concluded that MAXIMO met its stringent requirements for a solution that would manage its current inventory of 88 schools and 20 support facilities, representing over 13.3 million square feet of building space. By the year 2007, GCPS plans to add 2,000 new classrooms. GCPS plans to integrate MAXIMO to its PeopleSoft financial system, and deploy the MAXIMO Mobile Suite. By extending MAXIMO for use with mobile devices, GCPS expects to eliminate paperwork, increase productivity and improve data collection.

"We needed the absolute best facility management system available," commented Craig Woodrow, Director of Building Maintenance, of Gwinnett County Public Schools. "MAXIMO fully met our requirements. MRO Software is more than just a vendor, it is a company with which we have entered into a long-term strategic partnership."

"Gwinnett County Public Schools' philosophy is based on operational excellence, as illustrated by its recent Georgia Oglethorpe Award," commented Terry Saunders, vice president product and industry marketing at MRO Software. "The school system's selection of MAXIMO points to the organization's commitment to continuously improve processes, customer satisfaction, service value and the learning and growth of its employees."
