Eight Austin Hotels Support Toys-For-Tots Program; Motel 6, Red Roof Inns and Studio 6 are Official Collection Points for Holiday Kindness

A group of Accor North America hotels today announced their commitment to become official collection points for the Greater Austin Toys for Tots program. The U.S. Marine Corp Reserve Toys for Tots program has been delivering toys to needy children for over 50 years. In 2001, Toys for Tots distributed more than 13.2 million new toys and brightened the holidays of over 6 million children throughout the country.
The toy drive starts today and runs through Saturday, December 14, 2002, with a grand finale Santa Party at 1:00 p.m. at the Central-North Motel 6 located at 8010 N. Interstate 35. Guests, local residents and businesses are all encouraged to bring a new unwrapped toy to one of the following locations: Motel 6 Central South, 5330 N. Interregional Hwy.; Motel 6 North, 9420 N Interstate 35, Motel 6 Central North, 8010 N. Interstate 35; Motel 6 South, 2707 Interregional Hwy. S.; Red Roof Inn Roundrock, 1990 Interstate 35; Red Roof Inn North, 8210 N. Interregional Hwy., Studio 6 Midtown, 937 Camino La Costa and Studio 6 Northwest, 11901 Pavilion Blvd.
